2026 License Renewal Reminders:
- Broker expiration date will be June 30, 2026.
- Salesperson expiration date will be September 30, 2026.
Continuing Education:
Each Real Estate licensee who holds an active license shall complete during the two (2)-year license period prior to renewal a minimum of twelve (12) hours of real estate instruction approved for continuing education credit by the Missouri Real Estate Commission.
At least three (3) of the twelve (12) hours of approved instruction shall be taken in a course approved by the Missouri Real Estate Commission as core credit.
The next broker and salesperson renewal for the 2024-2026 license period will require an approved CORE course on Fair Housing. As you know, Missouri regulations currently require 12 hours of continuing education, of which at least 3 hours must be a CORE course. Therefore, if a licensee only takes one CORE course for the next renewal period (2024-2026), it must be a Fair Housing course. The licensee can, however, take all 12 hours comprised of CORE courses if they choose to do so.
The balance of the twelve (12) hours of instruction shall consist of courses which have been approved for either core or elective continuing education credit by the Missouri Real Estate Commission.
NAR Ethics Requirement:
Members of the National Association of REALTORS® are required to complete periodic ethics training of not less than 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time once every three years. The following cycle begins January 1, 2022 and ends December 31, 2024. REALTORS® completing such training during any three (3) year cycle shall not be required to complete additional ethics training in respect of this requirement as a requirement of membership in any other Board or Association.
